Management education and company workshops

A manager who becomes a new team leader, practitioners who is in charge of a business plan for the first time, and a manager who has to reread the market forecast have different things to learn. Korea Research Institute of Business & Branding's management and corporate education transforms research results into learning tailored to your job and career stage.

Korea Research Institute of Business & Branding operates strategy and market outlook training for managers, leadership and organizational management training for managers, planning, analysis and problem-solving training for practitioners, customized workshops and case discussions for companies, and online lectures, briefings and newsletters.

The teaching materials come from institute's research and consultation. After opening the strategy, organization, and marketing curriculum for executives and practitioners in 2012, we have refined the curriculum with the core value of learnability, which is to review the implementation results and reflect them in research and education.

What management education is right for executives, managers, and practitioners?

Even within the same company, the types of decisions that must be made are different for each position. Executives make decisions on direction and resource allocation, managers make decisions on people and organizational operations, and practitioners makes decisions on planning, analysis, and problem solving every day. Education is also divided according to that judgment.

What do you learn through strategy and market outlook training for managers?

The center of managerial education is not memorizing forecasts, but how to use forecasts to make judgments. We read market changes, consider what choices the changes require our company, and practice the process of comparing conditions, costs, and risks for each option. This means that the management directly deals with the alternative comparison framework that Korea Research Institute of Business & Branding uses in its consultation.

Training often includes examples from other companies. When reading a case, I first practice noting how the company's industry, size, and market environment at the time are different from ours. If you have this habit, you will be less likely to hastily follow a strategy that has become a hot topic.

From what concerns does manager leadership/organizational management training start?

Managers stand between the strategies set by management and the circumstances on the ground. A goal is set, but each team member has a different understanding, and situations where work increases but people remain the same are common. Leadership and organizational management training starts from this point and covers how to divide goals into members' tasks, how to find where collaboration is blocked, and how to communicate to help members grow. Case discussions, where you bring in real-life situations from your own team and solve them with fellow managers, are a great way to deal with these concerns. The tasks identified in institute's organizational and operational improvement research serve as examples for education.

practitioners How is planning, analysis, and problem solving training conducted?

practitioners Training is conducted in a way that produces results. We sequentially practice the process of defining the problem in one sentence, determining and gathering the necessary data, dividing the facts and interpretations from the analysis results, and transferring the conclusions into a report. institute's principle of distinguishing between assumptions and facts is still useful when practitioners writes reports. The practical tasks covered in the training are also connected to the topics of the publication's practical management notes. Practicing translating assignments from your work into a one-page plan will help you take what you have learned into your workplace.

Are corporate training workshops tailored to the company’s circumstances possible?

Korea Research Institute of Business & Branding runs customized workshops and case discussions for companies. While a general course addresses common challenges across multiple companies, a customized workshop brings members together to discuss challenges actually faced by one company. If you use it as an opportunity to share research or consultation results with members, it will help the field understand the reasons for the decisions made by management. Company materials shared in the workshop are handled in accordance with institute confidentiality principles.

Is there any management training I can learn online?

institute operates online courses, briefings, and newsletters. Online management education and briefing services have been further strengthened since October 2020. First identify the core of the change with a short briefing, and then utilize the necessary topics by reading in depth through lectures or publications. If we read the same briefing as a team and share its meaning to our company in meetings, online training also leads to organizational learning.

Where does the training content come from, and what is checked after the training?

The training content comes from institute's research and consultation, and its implementation results. In April 2026, this flow became more dense as it was reorganized into a program linking research, advisory, and education. We examine the results of applying the methods learned in training to actual work, and reflect the results back into research and next training.

There are also public standards for companies to refer to when designing in-house training. The National Competency Standard (NCS) is a standard that systematizes the abilities required to perform jobs in industrial settings by field, and the vocational competency development of incumbents is based on the “National Lifelong Vocational Competency Development Act.” When setting training goals for each job, it is easy to find missing competencies by considering these standards and institute's training process together.
